Ready, Set, Glow for Autism this October!

  • 30-08-2019

Belfast’s Victoria Park will be glowing bright on Friday 18th October as Autism NI hold their annual Glow Walk. Local families are encouraged to ‘light up the night’ and don their neon fancy dress and glow sticks for autism.

Autism NI CEO, Kerry Boyd said: “Following the success of our Glow Walk last year, we’re excited to be getting our glow on again this October. This event aims to ‘highlight’ autism as a hidden disability and raise awareness in the wider community.

“The 5K walk will begin at 6.30pm in Victoria Park and we are asking local families to support the charity by taking part and pledging to raise £75 per family. This will be a fun evening for all ages and a chance to glow bright for autism.”

All funds raised from the Glow Walk will support Autism NI’s vital Helpline service which is invaluable to local families, individuals and professionals and supports over 4,700 individuals every year. Events like this are vital in the work the charity carries out, with one in thirty school age children diagnosed with autism in Northern Ireland the charity’s services are needed more than ever.

Sign up for the Glow Walk and you’ll be supporting a very worthy cause while having a lot of fun. For free registration and to receive your glow pack, visit contact or call 028 9040 1729.
