Receiving an autism diagnosis can bring many questions for people and their families. Autism NI provides a range of help and autism support at every stage of your journey. 

Autism NI is Northern Ireland’s longest-serving autism charity. We work to provide life-changing autism support services for over 35,000 autistic people currently living in Northern Ireland.

 

What autism support is available from Autism NI? 

We provide autism support services to help autistic children, young people, adults and their family members. Our services help people to understand more about autism and to get the help and autism support they need. 

Our autism services include:

  • Our Autism Helpline that receives over 7,000 calls a year.
  • An Early Intervention Service that supports autistic people and their families after receiving an autism diagnosis.
  • Support Groups throughout local communities.
  • Accredited training to parents, carers, and professionals.

Autism NI provides autism support services throughout Northern Ireland, including Belfast, Newry, Lisburn, Ballymena, Derry/Londonderry, Fermanagh and surrounding communities.

You'll find a range of helpful resources tailored to the needs of autistic people in Northern Ireland. From understanding a diagnosis, getting your own 'I have autism' card, to finding support for education, employment and daily life. 

Our autism resources also include a range of sample autism visuals, anxiety management tools, autism sensory activities and social stories, to help autistic people in their everyday life.

Need direct autism support? Our Autism NI Helpline takes over 7000 calls annually. Our Helpline can provide individualised autism support, information and signposting.
