Impact Award for Education

The Impact Award for Education offers you the whole package to build a neuroinclusive learning environment:

• Tailored and interactive training delivered online with an expert facilitator.
• Three hour session for up to 25 staff, delivered at a date and time that suits your schedule (including twilight sessions).
• Step by step support to create and implement and individualised action plan for your school.
• Use our simple framework to present evidence of your good practice approach, to achieve the Impact Award.
• Receive individualised plaque, banners, posters, and a range of promotional materials to promote your achievement.
• Listing on our website, promotion on our socials and use of the Impact Award logo for 3 years.

Our Impact Award training can help each school achieve the following outcomes:

• Increase accessibility - Current stats reveal 1 in 20 school age children have a diagnosis of autism (DHSSPS, 2023). Each school will be able to promote best practice and social inclusion for the whole community.
• Become equality compliant - every school is legally obligated to provide equal access to services for autistic people under the Disability Discrimination Act and SEN legislation.
• Increase staff confidence - confident, knowledgeable, and skilled staff will improve inclusion and strengthen the organisation’s reputation, and performance.
• Promote inclusion - small reasonable adjustments can make a big difference. Families will build trust and confidence in your staff team, promoting an open and positive relationship between parents, pupils, and school. 

1. Register your school – Email training@autismni.org for more information and to book your package.

2. Training delivered – Our professional trainers will deliver an accredited tailored training course to your staff team. 

3. Develop an action plan – Discuss the changes you can make within your school to make it more accessible and inclusive for autistic students and employees. Receive help and support from our team to develop your action plan.

4. Make adjustments – Build an inclusive and welcoming environment for autistic pupils within your school with a specific action plan.

5. Receive your Impact for Education Award!

6. Follow up support - Receive 3 years support from Autism NI and celebrate and promote your inclusive and accessible school.
