Charlieen has been volunteering for Autism NI’s North Coast (Ballycastle Support Group) for two years.


 

I have been volunteering with Autism NI for about 2 years now and it has been great. I started as a member and going to meetings to find support for my family as we have a child with an autism diagnosis. The support and understanding we have received has been outstanding, it makes a huge difference being able to talk about aspects of autism with someone who has personal experience and no judgement.To anyone thinking about volunteering, do it, you won't regret it. Not only do I feel I understand autism more, but I have been able to help others as well and increase other peoples awareness and understanding of being autistic!
