Course Overview: 

Course format: Online delivery on Zoom. The virtual training will be fully interactive and will include opportunities for discussion and question and answer sessions.

What you will learn:

The course will explore the key characteristics of autism and how they may impact an autistic person. The course will explore the range of barriers that autistic people may experience when accessing healthcare and how medical professionals can build an inclusive and accessible approach within their service provision. 

Who should attend:

This course is suitable for all healthcare staff, including clinical professionals across statutory and private sectors, as well as non-clinical roles such as administrative and reception staff. Course content will be applicable across various healthcare related fields including GP’s, nurses, dentists, physiotherapists, mental health practitioners and other primary care staff.

If you would like to be invoiced for your place, please email training@autismni.org with your training request and a member of our team will book your place. 

Once your place has been booked, you will receive a Zoom link to access the session approximately 48 hours before the training (please check your spam folder if it is not in your inbox). If you have not received the link 24 hours before your session, please contact training@autismni.org and the link will be resent. 

Training Cancellation Policy:

A booking cancellation can be made at any time up to 5 working days before the workshop at a cost of 50% of the booking. For notice of less than 5 working days, you will be invoiced for the full cost of the booking.
