Course Overview

Course Dates: There are sessions running in each Health Trust area - please see below to view dates and book the course that is within your location. 

Course Format: This virtual support course will be delivered on Zoom. The session will be fully interactive and will include opportunities for discussion and question and answer sessions. 

Course cost: This session is funded and is therefore free for parents/carers of an autistic person to attend.  This course is supported by the Public Heath Agency through the CLEAR project. 

What you will learn

This course will explore what differences or challenges can be experiences by autistic teenagers as they approach adolescence. It will explore a range of intervention strategies that can be used to support independence, body awareness, puberty, personal hygiene, and sexual health.

Who should attend 

This course is only available to parents and carers who have an autistic child (pre or post diagnosis).

Booking information 

To book your place online, please complete the form below and complete your booking via our ‘online checkout’ processing system. 

Once your place has been booked, you will receive a Zoom link to access the session approximately 48 hours before the session (please check your spam folder if it is not in your inbox). If you have not received the link 24 hours before your session, please contact training@autismni.org and the link will be resent. 

Training Cancellation Policy 

For funded places, please contact Autism NI as soon as possible if you are unable to use your place, as we can then offer this place to another family on the waiting list.
