Course Objectives

This introductory 2 hour seminar will provide an overview of autism and the key differences that autistic people may experience. It will also cover what is meant by and what is included in the wider concept of 'neurodiversity'. Finally the seminar will explore why inclusion and accessibility is so important for autistic and neurodivergent people, and the first steps you can take to building a 'neuroinclusive' approach. 

Course aimed at

Any individual who would like to start their journey of understanding how to support and communicate effectively with autistic and neurodivergent people. Please note: For those who would like more in depth and accredited training, we also provide our full  day 'Understanding and Supporting Autistic People' course (click here to go back to full course listing). 

Please note: The session will be facilitated on the Zoom platform. Registered delegates will receive a link to access the session approximately 48 hours before the session to enable access. The virtual training will be fully interactive and will include opportunities for discussion and question and answer sessions.

Training cancellation policy

A booking cancellation can be made at any time up to 5 working days before the workshop at a cost of 50% of the booking. For notice of less than 5 working days, you will be invoiced for the full cost of the booking.
