Course Objectives
Understand the main features associated with autism and explore various strategies to support autistic people. The course will explore the key characteristics including communication, social interaction, repetitive behaviours and sensory differences.
Course aimed at
Any individual who would like to understand more about how to support and communicate effectively with autistic people within their role. This include health and education sectors, private organisations and those working in service provision and retail.
Please note: The session will be facilitated on the Zoom platform. Registered delegates will receive a link to access the session approximately 48 hours before the session to enable access. The virtual training will be fully interactive and will include opportunities for discussion and question and answer sessions.
Level 1 AQA Unit Award Accreditation available at an additional cost of £40.
We are the only autism specific training agency in NI to offer the AQA unit award scheme. The Unit Award scheme accreditation ensures a high standard of learning, understanding and self-development. The AQA Unit Award Scheme recognition is offered as an optional extra on many of our courses, at an additional cost of £40 per person. Accreditation takes the form of a short answer written assessment and usually takes approximately 30-40 minutes. For further queries, please contact the Training Department.
Training cancellation policy
A booking cancellation can be made at any time up to 5 working days before the workshop at a cost of 50% of the booking. For notice of less than 5 working days, you will be invoiced for the full cost of the booking.
