Course aim

Course Aim: This course will explore the key characteristics of autism that may impact on a person’s anxiety and stress levels related to school. The course will explore how you can recognise contributing factors to school-related anxiety and minimise anxiety triggers for the child or young person experiencing school ‘can’t’. The course will also explore a range of strategies to help increase emotional understanding, emotional regulation and coping strategies to help an autistic individual reduce the impact of school-related anxiety. 

Please note: This course is supported by the Public Heath Agency through the CLEAR project. This course is only available to parents and carers who live in the Southern Health and Social Trust area only.
