Then THIS is the course for you!

The Skills for Staying Safe programme is a youth programme for young people with Autism to learn more about the social and life skills needed to stay safe in various contexts. This programme was run extremely successfully as part of our Big Lottery funded ‘Young People, Autism and Justice Project’ in 2012-2015.

The programme has been developed into a Training for Trainers package so that this invaluable youth group framework can be used regionally with young people with Autism. If you are a professional or volunteer who works with young people, whether it is in a youth group, college or community group, the 'Training for Trainers' can help you deliver the AQA accredited 'Skills for Staying Safe' programme for 8-18 year olds.

The training explores the difficulties an individual may have within a youth group, and explores the social and life skills topics that may be beneficial to use within the group. All delegates receive a full resource pack to help them facilitate the groups within their organisation.
