Making Sense of Autism

Our new schools campaign 'Making Sense of Autism' aims to raise awareness about Autism by encouraging pupils to take part in a 'sensory' challenge and help raise vital funds for Autism NI.

Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how children ‘make sense’ of the world around them. One in forty school children are diagnosed with Autism, and we rely on your help to improve the lives of children affected by this hidden disability.

By choosing one of our five ‘sensory’ fundraising challenges your pupils will develop an understanding of some of the sensory and communication difficulties children with Autism face on a daily basis.

  • Big Eye Spy Challenge
  • Celebrity Taste Test
  • You Can Touch This Challenge
  • Smell & Guess Challenge
  • Silent Disco, Hush Party or Sponsored Silence … our favourite!

Simply call 028 9040 1729 TODAY to sign up for our 'Making Sense of Autism' campaign or email schools@autismni.org and receive your schools fundraising and information pack.
